Well done!

 Hi all!

Just wanted to say well done for your work today and sorry we couldn't hear all your raps, it was very tight on time trying to finish The Witches! Hope you enjoyed the story, I just want to know what happens next in the castle! Will it be successful?

Sorry the class couldn't hear your rap Florence, it was great and don't forget to give yourself a merit.

Hope the science went well, I was hoping to talk about it with you so hopefully you can email me some of the work. I've got some photos from Oscar to go on my display.

See you all soon,

Mrs Mason 😎

Thursday 11th February

 Hi Class 3!

I'll just start saying a really big 'Well Done' to you and your parents for all the Home Learning you've achieved this half-term. πŸ‘ It's been really tough not having you in school but great that we have stayed in touch on zoom πŸ˜€

Here are the the final Learning Tasks for this half-term.

Shadow video

If you get chance set up a tall object in your garden in the morning, take a photo, draw or measure the shadow then check it again at midday and again after school. We are going to use a rounders pole in school and use chalk to draw the shadow.

See you at 8.40 for morning zoom and we will start afternoon zoom at 2.30 to try out the song in music.

Join in with Isingpop Episode 6 Respect for the final assembly. Password spring

Here is the link that Mr Staley sent to you parents for suggested activities you may want to do tomorrow as part of our 'Screen break' day.

Screen Break Day

In school we are going to finish our art work to go on display so if you want to do another piece of art work then you can send it in after half-term. We are also going to perform our raps adding some 'funky' moves to them and do some money posters to show what we have learnt which we will display on our Maths board. It would be great to display some of yours if you choose to do one too. In the afternoon we are going to go for a walk and reflect on positive experiences we have shared this half-term then finish off with designing our very own Joe Wicks workout!

Have a great day on Friday whatever you decide to do (without a screen) and have an active, healthy and happy half-term holiday.

Love from Mrs Mason, Mrs Davis and Mrs Jones 😍

Wednesday 10th February

Good morning Class 3,πŸ˜€

Here are your learning tasks for Wednesday.

Competition time!

The school PTA has this week launched a virtual pet show, just for a bit of fun over the half term holidays. Don't worry if you don't have a pet though, you can still take part!
The PTA are also very excited to announce that they have a celebrity head judge to help decide the overall 'best in show' - BBC Countryfile and Cotswold Farm Park's very own Adam Henson will be judging the final winner!

How to enter:

1. Take a look at the categories below and decide which one you would like to enter. Take a photo of your pet, or if you're entering the 'anything goes' category get creative with your pens/paint/play doh. You could take your camera out during your next walk and see what you can spot - a bird, creepy crawly, horse or maybe even your neighbour's cat?

2. Once you have a photo or drawing, ask a grown up to help you email it into the PTA at pta@holyapostles.gloucs.sch.uk stating the category you're entering, name and class by Friday 19 February.

The categories are:
  • Dashing dogs.
  • Anything goes - a picture/photo of your favourite cuddly animal or an animal you see on your daily walks.
  • Cute cats.
  • Teacher's pets - just for school staff.
  • Super small animals.
You can only enter each pet once, BUT you can enter as many categories as you have pets.

PrizesVotes will be counted and category winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd) will win a rosette. Adam Henson will then select the overall 'best in show'. The winner and their pet will receive a special prize.

Questions? If you have any queries, please email the PTA at: PTA@holyapostles.gloucs.sch.uk
